Whitening – indications and recommendations

Prevdent whitening system is a product that not only whitens the teeth, but also has a beneficial effect on the enamel.

Immediately after the treatment, the teeth are lighter even by 7–8 shades.

What are the indications for whitening the teeth:

• Lightening of teeth for aesthetic reasons.
• Removal of discolorations present on teeth from the moment of eruption as well as those appearing with age. Discolorations caused by tetracycline antibiotics and brown stains caused by fluorosis allow for achieving success to a varying degree.
• Whitening of dark and stained teeth.
• Removal of discolorations caused by congenital, systemic, metabolic, pharmacological factors; trauma, fluorosis, tetracycline antibiotics, hemolytic disease in newborns, jaundice, porphyria.

Post-treatment recommendations:

• Make sure to stick to the rule of not eating anything that could get your white shirt dirty. For 24–72 hours it is advisable to maintain the so-called “white diet”, i.e. to avoid products containing any colouring agents (coffee, tea, cola, red wine, turmeric, curry, soy sauce, berries, beets, etc.).
